Under the Entasis banner Sakata, Di Domenico, Damianidis and guests play intense spiritual music without boundaries, in memory of Christos Yermenoglou.
Entasis is an international quartet consisting of Akira Sakata (clarinet, alto sax), Giovanni Di Domenico (piano), Giotis Damianidis (guitar) and Christos Yermenoglou (drums) who sadly past away in January. The band released its first record, Hōryū-ji in May 2019 on Mr. Nakayasi Records/el NEGOCITO Records. Hōryū-ji or Learning Temple of the Flourishing Law is one of the powerful seven great Buddhist temples in Japan. This temple has entasis, in architecture, the application of a convex curve to a surface for aesthetic purposes. It also serves an engineering function regarding strength, the key word of that brought together this quartet. Sakata, Di Domenico and Damianidis dedicate the European tour to Yermenoglou.
