Kocmoc celebrates the first running year of its Freeform Radio Transmissions platform with a special music and film event, dedicated to its community and contributors – a vital part to the independence, non-profit and non-commercial nature of this project.

Angela Melitopoulos shows 2 video-essays

The video essay “Passing Drama” renders a close listening of Melitopoulos’ migration history that was handed down across three generations.

– The Language of Things, 2006
By way of a language of technology, the people in the amusement park rides can be outside themselves, ecstatic. For milliseconds, gravity is suspended and speed induces sheer joy. Even the video screen breaks apart.

– Songs 1-5, 2020
Four short films digitized from 16mm There are 4 short 16mm films. Each Song is accompanied by an image track consisting of black film pierced with a sewing machine.The Songs are without titles or credits, at best interventions.They are satellites of the film. The Song of the Shirt (2020). Its film crew forms a choir and sings the short pieces, accompanied by music experiments of the project ZONKEY (Melitopoulos / Schroedinger). As a choir that doesn’t gain visibility and as a film whose surface is pierced, the Songs appear as intervention, as disruption or interruption, like Luddites of film.

Taurus

Discovisual I is the first release of the experimental audiovisual duo Taurus. Discovisual II is the second release of the experimental audiovisual duo Taurus. It captures one of the two performances which were held on August 14th and 15th, 2015 at TAE, Teatro Argentino, La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
